Pros

The leadership remains engaged with employees; our CEO meets with all new employees to have lunch and talk about the values of the credit union. Leadership Development program allows you with hands on time to our CEO and a high level overview of the credit union. Regular all staff meetings allow the staff to keep in touch with how the cooperative is performing and to recognize one another with Ben and Jerry's awards for going above and beyond in their service to one another. Outstanding perks and benefits; the 401(k) match is unparalleled and the student loan interest reimbursement is a wonderful add that very few employers offer.

Cons

The organization runs lean and for some that can be a challenge/difficult to adapt to. If you enjoy a fast pace and being busy the entire time you're here this is the fit for you. If someone is looking for a place where you come and put in your 40 hours/go home it may not be the best organization for you. We are also growing so keeping the family feel will become harder as we move to additional metro areas; however, credit goes to the leadership for continually discussing and evaluating ways that we can keep the culture intact.

Pros

You will love it if you are passionate about service and sales. Pay is good for the job. Potential to earn decent incentive payouts. Some products sell for themselves because the rates are so low and beneficial for members. Its a smaller organization so you can move up quickly with success. They welcome anyone ideas and feedback.

Cons

You can move up quickly but not far. You will sell additional products to members with loans which are not easy to believe in. Its nearly car dealership deceptive. Some of the Board of Directors, in my opinion, are a direct conflict of interest to be in control of a credit union. They say they are "not for profit" but it doesn't feel that way. Rates are low but you are pressured to sell additional products that wont save members money.

Pros

Good people to work with. Quality sales training. Caring leadership.

Cons

Metrics on how many ODP opt ins you had, even though it was almost never good for the customer.
