      GT is great for attorneys, bad for staff

      Pros

      Good health insurance, great team in the GC’s office

      Cons

      Half the managers are incompetent and the ones that are good are prevented from doing their jobs by the worst director who isn’t an actual attorney. If you want to be treated like you’ve had a lobotomy and are incapable of doing the job you were hired to do, go for it. If you have the option of a different job, go for it.

      Pros

      I was in the Chicago office. People were much more collegial and supportive than other biglaw firms I've had pleasure of working at.

      Technology and support resources are a bit lean vs some other biglaw outfits

      Flexible working environment. Positive corporate culture. Great growth opportunities. Friendly coworkers.

      Cons

      Compensation tends to be lower than at other similarly-sized firms. Bonuses are relatively low, as well. The compensation system is not transparent.
