Cons

Upper management(Regionals) and Owners treat leasing professionals like crap. Will walk into a room and don't speak like you are not the face of the property. Treat people how you want to be treated.

Within the first 2 months of me working here there were 4 shootings at my property where I worked. Opposed to trying to figure out an actual solution, Greystar just suggested we “lock the doors during business hours”. It was not until the 4th shooting they gave us a couple days off to compose ourselves after experiencing this trauma and being threatened on top of it all. Turned out to be gang related activity. Don’t work here unless you want to be just a number.

Vacation time off is great.

Cons

-Vacation is encouraged but very lax when coverage is needed. Every time I take off for more than a day it’s like a disaster because there are no assigned backups. -Managers are always right. -Lack of risk management around financials -Company holds back an employee from advancement (whether promotion or lateral) if the manager has anything to say whether it’s fair or not.
