Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear your thoughts regarding our job posting/promotion process as Grocery Outlet prides itself on promoting from within. In order for us to appropriately address your concerns we would really appreciate the opportunity to speak with you in person about your experience. The set crew team does travel a considerable amount of time, and it is a requirement of the role, but would like to talk about ideas you may have as consideration for a better balance. Please reach out if you're interested in a further conversation.

Pros

- Great co-workers. - Helpful and friendly vendors. - Customers genuinely pleased to be shopping at the store. - Good entry level job for young people to gain experience.

Cons

- Low pay. Regular staff make minimum wage; Department Leads and Managers only make $1 an hour over minimum. - Severely understaffed. Most staff is required to take on multiple tasks that would take two to three people to complete. - No overtime allowed, even though... see above. - No benefits. No medical, dental, 401k, etc. No sick days, no accrued vacation or paid time off. Also, no employee discounts. - Last minute scheduling: Schedule for week that starts on Sunday, is released only 24-48 hours in advance. It is extremely difficult for employees to schedule any personal activities when you don't know when you'll be working - be it a Doctor's appointment, attending a school play, or family event.
