Honest, down-to-earth owners. Good-hearted people, who are easy to talk to and pleasant to work for.

Thanks for posting. All of our stores are independently owned and operated so store owners set benefits coverage. I encourage you to speak to them directly

Pros

as with any company you must put into it what you want to get out of it. The grocery industry is a great place to work and I enjoyed my time at Grocery Out Let.

Cons

Working in the grocery industry is a demanding job. Standing on your feet for 8 hours is a real pain. Making sure that you scan every item is a challenge, some customers forget to put item on the stand and then their are others that are trying to steal from the company. You have to know how to handle both.

Pros

It is great to work for people who care about their staff. It is also a wonderful environment to thrive in creatively. Grocery Outlet is ever changing and therefore requires creativity to adapt to these changes, and inevitably, to succeed. Free thinking and new ideas are not commonly accepted in a retail business at a store level. So, it is a refreshing change of pace from the mainstream.

Cons

When there are a lot of employees who already know one another prior to being hired, it can encourage excess drama. Be it on a monetary scale or by position, there is a cap as to how high an employee can climb within one store.
