Pros

Most regulars at the store I worked at were quite friendly overall. Same goes to all the co-workers, most managers included. Also get first dibs on expired non-perishable goods with the rest being donated to foodbanks.

Cons

No possibility of raises/increases to pay above minimum wage to speak of and strict lunch and break policies meaning you will usually have to be late to your own if someone before you comes back late for any reason.

the pay is ok for what you have to do

Cons

the customers are consistently rude/creepy, and several employees are completely incompetent but they rarely fire anyone because getting new people is apparently too hard for them despite the fact they are always receiving applications
