Pros

loved the people I worked with, bosses were great

Cons

company is not an ethical company anymore. Forcing out long time owners and brought in new, inexperienced owners to have more control of the contracts and the new owners

Sorry to hear we've lost your trust. There are many reasons for owner changes, so hopefully you've been able to ascertain the need from a business perspective.

Pros

I've been with GO for a little over two years and I have to say that it's far and away the best company I've ever worked for. The culture if pleasant and encouraging, with an emphasis on working together. Great benefits and training are available, plus you are given the opportunity to be relatively independant. Everyone is managed in a very positive manner.

Cons

I haven't really found anything that I'd complain about. The atmosphere here is so very good.

Pros

Easy to apply and get an interview (turnover rate is very fast) No drug test or background check (not that it mattered for me, might matter for others) Coworkers were some of the nicest people I've met Overall a fairly easy job Lunches are cheap (it's a pretty good store in general, you can eat lunch for under a dollar)

Cons

Horrible managment. Moody owners (gets very upset with you call in sick or need scheduling changes) Has a very "can't help you" attitude with everything Doesn't allow employees to work full time (no benefits) Owners are very demeaning and make sarcastic remarks to you/about you in front of customers about personal things. Owners have also made discriminatory remarks about mentally disabled children who were appreciative of giving them the chance to volunteer. They also sell food (meat, produce) that has gone bad/not fit to sell. They just tell you to put a coupon on it and put it back on the shelf, or freeze it. Customers' attitude towards the store is worse than Walmart because it's a discount grocery store, so you have to constantly deal with unpleasant people.

Thanks for being honest. I'll pass along your feedback to our independent store operator.
