Good place to work

Pros

Had very friendly co-workers, engaging in lot of activities outside of work. Was given ownership of some of the components. Good place to learn things with a lot of hands on experience. Lunch provided twice a week.

Cons

Too much micro management by new managers. No hike in pay for the entire time and was given dumb reasons when asked for it.

Pros

Good perks e.g. free lunch on select days of the week and a kitchen full of snacks.

Cons

Unprofessional management. Stop micro-management. Perhaps new managers could help.

Mostly good, but not problem-free.

Pros

* I found the company to have a family atmosphere, in terms of it's employees. They are motivated and dedicated. * The compensation was solid, inline with my admittedly high expectations. * A lot of employee events, including paid gourmet food trucks, and off-sites at places like wineries. * I wasn't there very long (couldn't take the commute), but I felt confident with the business model and the prospects with the company. * H.R. was professional and easy to work with.

Cons

* There was some disorganization in the department I worked in (operations). I had to report to the manager, the tech lead, AND the project manager, each with differing priorities. It seemed like other departments were better structured and organized though. * Operations had a not-so-thoroughly researched vision of the direction to go with the infrastructure. Still, there plans weren't far off-base.
