Pros

Strong values and leadership, good work life balance, leadership is willing to listen to employees. I would say the pros outweighed the cons, the company is slowly trying to change the culture.

Cons

NY facilities are old, company culture is not very strong and there are not many employee perks like free happy hours or team outings, does not cater to the younger work force. The company is over 150 years old and has archaic technology, however measures are being taken to replace this technology

Pros

Our local office did a really good job of recruiting new agents and giving them proper training. The back office staff was excellent.

Cons

If you're not a top performer, you might find support difficult to get. It's like this at most life insurers, so it's not just at Guardian.
