Pros

Good benefits package (health, dental, vision, 401K, bonus structure). Good downtown location, close to subways. Free coffee. Subsidized cafeteria on-premises.

Cons

The entire company is in transition from a 20th century organization to more of a 21st century company, but is throwing away much institutional knowledge in making that transition. There were many re-orgs, job eliminations and personnel changes.

Hard work doesn't pay off, it's about who you're friends with.

Pros

Monday thru Friday, day time hours. Supplemental insurance offered is decent. There are some great people who work there. Security team is great.

Cons

Many hours of mandatory overtime are regularly required. Management will tell you work is more important than family, that you need to learn to manage your time. Strict guidelines for production and quality are required and they enforce with threats of job loss and comparing employees to "unruly children without guidelines" rather than nuture and encourage growth. Consistently exceeding expectations in production, quality, and teamwork does not aid you in moving up within the company, however. Only the favorites and/or friends of the management excel within the company. The management is not very honest with the employees. The teams are plagued with consistent drama and rumors due to the fact the management has different expectations for different peers based on who they like better. Also, a lot of teams are assembled to create solid work flows so the work can be shipped to the offshore team, leaving the full time staff to worry about job security.

Pros

Lots of room to move up in the company. Development plans are highly encouraged and supported by leadership. If you work hard the opportunities are there.

Cons

Favoritism is rampant is some areas of the company. There is also a tendency to roll out projects before it has been fully thought through and we often have to roll back.
