Ok for first job

Pros

Fun environment for recent grads. Don't stay longer than 1-2 years though. Decent pay for first job. Not much work/life balance in the PM position. I would recommend for people who: are still trying to figure out what they want to do with their lives after college and don't have big career ambitions in the moment; if you are planning on saving money to go to grad school and don't really care about developing skills; if you are interested in living in NYC and this is the most reasonable option.

Cons

You will develop some basic skills. Nothing really relevant to learn in the Associate/PM positions. Left without developing strong transferable skills. It can be harmful if you stay too long.

Miserable Experience

Pros

The clients you work with are smart, and there are genuinely talented people that work there.

Cons

There are no discernible perks or career development opportunities. Extreme micromanagement and no growth mindset to be found. The pay is not competitive or worth it for how much you will be expected to work. Lackluster office, disorganized management, and insufficient training. The attrition rate is terrible and nothing is done to address this. The work is overwhelmingly mundane and unfulfilling, and most of the people eat lunch at their desks. Not a healthy long term job. Upper management views employees as robots/ numbers, not complex people who have the ability to contribute to and improve the company culture.

Pros

open floor plan, some really cool people - made a lot of friends, casual attire,

Cons

Boring projects - you don't actually get to learn or be involved in, you are basically a recruiter. No bonus structure - it does not matter how you perform compared to others (and you know exactly how you compare because they send out numbers to the entire company every month). No promotion structure - anyone who is in a management position got it because of tenure. This means you have unqualified people you are answering to, providing no career growth. Salaries are very low and bonuses are even worse. No work from home flexibility and the worst part is, none of the work you do is collaborative. Meaning, you are just sitting there all day sitting at your computer calling people who do not want to speak with you and you do not get to work collaboratively for more than 15 mins a day. This is why it is so frustrating that there is no work from home capabilities, when all the work being done could be done remote. Another reviewer said it perfectly "If you enjoy an unprofessional environment and a life of monotony from 8:45am (sometimes earlier) - 6:30pm (sometimes later) everyday then this is the place for you. If you don't, then it's tolerable but in no way fulfilling."
