-training program can take 18 months to 3 years. Which is practically impossible when you are working full time. You also have to come in 4 hours for 8 or more Saturdays aka work like balance interrupted. -mandatory events, expected to attended events such as open house even if it requires staying late or attended on. That's difficult to do when you have only had a 30 min break and have to stay later than your normally schedule -drama, some teachers were nice while others were petty and causing drama with other teachers and assistants. -some parents can be high maintenance. I can't tell you how many times I was emailed after work hours or houding with question before I even clocked in. Other parents are not open to suggestions for example I suggested a different AM snack because its difficult a 9 month old to eat a chicken biscuit with no teeth and while eating it the child almost choked the parent basically told me to ---- off with my "youthfulness".

If you aren’t a lead, there really isn’t a lot of room for growth.
