Great co-workers, lousy career opportunities and poor management

Pros

A great group of people to work with, very "we are all in this together" mentality. My co-workers were the best!

Cons

Below market pay, long hours, no matter how long/hard and well you work, you get pigeon-holed in a position. No growth opportunities. If you are here for any length of time, can't get your pay upped to current market value. People just coming in make as much or more than you do with 5 years less experience.

Guild was a great company to work for in terms of program options and support with In house underwriting and processing.

Pros

Direct underwriting with very little overlays. Liberal underwriting gave me lots of program options and allowed me to get loans funded that could not be done elsewhere.

Cons

Pricing was not as aggressive as would have been preferred. Also marketing assistance was limited.

Pros

Solid and efficient mortgage loan systems. Right on top of the many changes that have happened in the industry. Guild Mortgage really does everything they can to avert or resolve obstacles. Guild Mortgage is a rather large organization and yet in the pursuit of excellent Customer Service they take the time to problem-solve on a case by case basis.

Cons

Maybe more support with Marketing in branch areas.
