Pros

The commission is higher, yielding a chance to make more money. You have more control over the sale, and more input in the decision making process.

Cons

The commission hike is not large enough to compensate for the added responsibilities, and you wind up making less money in the long run because you spend too much time with store operations and not enough time selling product.

Pros

Demonstrating gear to customers, being surrounded by things that I love, working with other cool people.

Cons

$$$ - other than the holiday season and a few other select sale events, it's hard to make much money.

Pros

There's nothing quite like getting paid to be around the things you love every day. The company also promotes from within!

Cons

Any position after the Store Management position is impossible to obtain. If you're looking to move to a District Manager position or beyond, look elsewhere.
