      Everyone is out for themselves, Management didn't care about employees

      Pros

      Discounts were decent, able to test out new products when they first came out.... That's about it.

      Cons

      Every salesperson who worked there were absolute sharks. It got to the point where workers were getting into verbal fights in front of customers about who would get the commission. My manager at the time never mentioned meeting sales goals until the day I was written up for it. When the store first opened, we had "veterans" from each department come to teach us the ropes, but instead of teaching us, they just went on a sales rampage, and we learned absolutely nothing.

      Pros

      Fun place to work. You will meet lots of cool people with tons of musical knowledge. You get pretty decent discounts on all the gear and learn more than you can imagine (mandatory) about musical equipment.

      Cons

      You work EVERY holiday. They are biased towards religious people and their holidays, the commission is smoke and mirrors unless you work in the ProAudio dept. I made $10,000 in one year, working 35 hours a week, including commission, and I sold Gibson Les Pauls and PRS guitars all day long.

      Great place to start a career. Taught me how to excel at work, how to manage others, and made me a gear encyclopedia.

      Cons

      It's not a job, it's a lifestyle. To be good, you have to work non-stop, day and night for dreadfully low pay.
