Pros

Work with fellow musicians/enthusiasts, random celebrities/celebrities pop in, vacation is easy to get when wanted, awesome discounts on ALOT of music gear, and even home audio equipment from select vendors.... it's a job and that's better than unemployment. lol

Cons

Commission/hourly for Sales seems to be pretty good for the most part, Operations gets treated like slackers, Sales guys are the true slackers, complaining when they cant find stuff, refuse to lift more then 15 pounds, schedule is constantly being changed, workers are more childish than professional, cracking tasteless jokes in front and away from customers.

Pros

Good discounts when possible, good hours, fellow employees were fun, but the good ones do tend to leave, finding jobs with much better pay.

Cons

Upper management is a joke, incompetence runs rampant. If you are regular sales associate you never get commission. Lots of work for so little pay. Guitar Center companies lure you in with "great discounts", but it's not what it is hyped up to be. Insane employee turnover all the time. Sell or be sold!
