Pros

If you get a good manager/group head, you have a chance of success. Number of paid holidays are good.

Cons

Middle management is terrible. They micromanage and make single decisions that should be made by the boards. Latest survey got the salary exempt folks under 6 years a full extra week of vacation. You know to retain talent... If you have been there less than 18 years, they now bump up the vacation addition every two years instead of the old 6 yr plan. If you have 18 or more, you get nothing. I guess they don't think people above 6 years are going to leave so no extra for us. And pay raises... The promotion budget now pulls from the raise budget so is there are promotions in your leaders unit, the amount for raises drops. Promotions are hard to come by unless you are good old boy network or dei.

Pros

Fair work/life balance. Managers are generally easy to work with. Salary is competitive.

Cons

Extremely difficult to move forward (as a male employee). "Fake it till you make it" culture that breeds insecurity. Rife with nepotism. Constant fingerpointing & scapegoating.
