Pros

- Nice lunches that are provided - Nice gym - Some fun events - “sexy” brand that looks good on your CV - Some teams have decent people, several others, not so much

Cons

- I absolutely wish that I had read all of the other negative reviews on glassdoor and taken them seriously before I joined gymshark, as unfortunately in my experience, they all stand true (even the ones that are 4-5 years old!) Nothing has changed! - There was a lack of process for almost everything in my experience - Definitely very cliquey, and I would love to say that is because of the boys club (of which there definitely is among senior managers), but the women are just as bad, if not worse! Many of the women are extremely competitive and have a horrible gossip culture; they will put you down just to raise themselves up. - Please take the other comments seriously when they talk about a lack of opportunity for growth, this was very much my experience, managers want to look busy and important; while I was there it felt like a fight every day to have decent work. One of my colleagues said I deserved to do the "sh*t work" because I was younger - Definitely comes across that promotions are given out to friends rather than based on actual talent - Some anonymous (and not too complimentary) 360 feedback undertaken by my whole department, my manager took guesses about who had said what and read parts of her feedback out loud, making everyone around her uncomfortable - Don't expect too much of the HR team either - it is a measure of the calibre of people that Gymshark employ that the person I dealt with when handing in my resignation failed to spell my very simple, very English, very common, name properly about five times, despite it being both in my email address, and sign off, in all of her correspondence to me. - Leaving is the best decision I ever made, if you want to put yourself through the stress of Gymshark and these comments don’t deter you, then my only advice is that you get in, get it on your CV, and then get out asap!
