Gymshark talks about being a like a family, but like any other corporate business it’s about profits. Leadership talk a great game, but all it takes is a bad Black Friday promotion period to restructure and layoff staff - ironically the decision to run countless sales to meet revenue is made by the chiefs, yet 2 restructures in 3 years clearly shows who’s on the chopping block when profits dip. They struggle to appreciate data & insights, and are very brand focussed. The truth is ever since GA came on board, the company has sadly lost its uniqueness and become another ‘bottom line focussed’ business.

Awful toxic environment, especially in the wholesale/ retail functions. Longterm sickness is very high due to bullying and toxic behaviours in each department. Upper management/ directors have no idea how to successfully run department and the whole entire operation is like a circus. They hire contractors who have a track record of bullying and harassing people and continue to do nothing when complaints are made. Three people made complaints within my department and the individual in question was never investigated.. The boys club is very much real. Unfair pay amongst people in teams. HR are useless - only wanted me to put a complaint in once I had left!
