Pros

Great coworkers, or "partners." Everyone gets to quickly know each other, since it is a small store. Benefits aren't as bad as they were before.

Cons

Upper management can be a pain, especially store managers, expecting stuff to get done, even though they know there's less workers and less time than usual. Advancement can be an issue, depending on what store you're in. If it's a small one, expect a tighter race for a higher position.

Very, very flexible with your schedule and great benefits

Cons

Depending on your store, management plays a great amount of favoritism. Some managers are sexist and unfair to employees. They do not provide great employee support. They state that they have an open door policy, but that is not true. You can talk to them, but you have a red target on your back and get classified as a trouble maker. I spoke with HR one time, and they did nothing, because she was best friends with my manager. Once I tried getting another job, my manager lied to the hiring manager stating that I was demoted from my position rather than leaving willingly. It's definitely hard to move up unless the managers like you.
