      Great job but has limitations

      Pros

      Great pay and benefits. Company offers quite a bit for their employees and seems to really care about their employees. Company parties and meals to celebrate holidays and sales records.

      Cons

      As a department manager expect to get moved to different stores, sometimes far away from where you live. Expected to work 50hrs a week but it usually ends up being 60+ hrs.Expect to do monthly physical inventories and work most holidays especially in the bakery. They use an occurance system for time and attendance which some employees can easily abuse.

      Pros

      Great company ethic, company is highly respected in the community and gives back big time. Nice co-workers. Treated as part of one big family. Very good benefits and support.

      Cons

      Almost everyone is hired part-time to start. Can become full-time as positions open up, or as department budget constraints allow. Raises are on a set schedule and are given every six months during your performance review. Advancement encouraged, but sheer numbers of employees applying tend to derail your chances.

      Forced overtime Many safety violations Time standards are very tight Management often cuts selectors toward the end of the day, slowing progress and forcing remaining employees to stay up to several hours later
