      Pros

      Great company. Lots of opportunity. Leaders who support you and your career development. HEB has a great connection to its customers.

      Cons

      Retail environment can be high-pressure. Some jobs and roles have a grind-it-out nature. As with all companies, headquarters can be political.

      It's a great company, but Recruiting and HR have to much control/power.

      Pros

      It's an established company with a proven financial future. Working for a grocery store is pretty stable - everyone always needs groceries.

      Cons

      HR and Recruiting have too much power over the hiring process. Do not be surprised if the job is posted to one paygrade, but you get a call from the recruiter stating the paygrade is being dropped with the responsibilities staying the same. It happened to me more than once and happened to a number of other individuals as well.
