Pros

The benefits are decent and have a variety to choose from.

Cons

I technically worked for Sarah Cannon but was under the HCA Corporation. The employees got the same benefits as HCA employees and were treated as HCA employees. I worked as a patient care technician on the evening shift and went to back to school to do data science. My plans were to stay with HCA and/or Sarah Cannon after finishing my master's. I applied for jobs that related to my degree and couldn't even get an interview as an internal applicant. I tried to get promoted to a different position several times and got denied. They don't promote within unless you know someone that can get you the position. I even did the tuition reimbursement thinking I could get another position within the company. Now I have to pay it back because I didn't fulfill my time obligation. Your total time at the company doesn't count. It starts from when you received the tuition benefits, which is ridiculous. The companies that I have worked for consider your entire time with them. Also, they hire in new employees at higher rates and don't adjust current employees' wages.

Pros

Pay is not bad, but not the best. Benefits are comparable to other companies.

Cons

Not the place you wanna be if you prioritize patient care and your own mental health. HCA works you to the bone and then sends you home after you've made them thousands and thousands of overpriced health care paying you an ok hourly wage, but not getting your hours in like you're supposed to. It's idiotic not to realize that your staff deserve an employee focused company. Turnover rate is absurd and people will go to companies that appreciate them more unless they start caring more about their employees.

Pros

Benefits decent by Florida standards. Co-workers pleasant to work with and often go above and beyond when short staffed (which is often)

Cons

Too many layers of lower/middle management. NP's with no autonomy. Never included in provider meetings. No input to schedule. No meaningful interaction with management to understand productivity goals or anything else for that matter. Front office staff/schedulers unable to triage appropriately. Minimal support staff assistance. Support staff told to "be sure to take care of physicians patients first", leaving the NP either running behind schedule or performing both roles in effort to stay efficient and avoid long patient waiting times which could result in poor patient satisfaction scores.
