Oddly cost conscious, even when the client is paying for all expenses. I have a monthly gauntlet with Indian travel, lodging teams. To book a trip it takes about 30 emails. Most offshore personnel have no concept of American HR norms, American geography and hotel prices. I have been sent to hotels where I would not leave my dog. They complain each time that they are not given enough notice on travel (like I am deciding, not the client).

This company has such a bad culture. Blame, blame, blame, escalate, escalate, escalate. Don't work for this company or it's parent company, HCL Technologies. You'll get thrown under the bus for sure. Often departments are understaffed, like HR and legal, so it is impossible to get things done. Seen several people in the company get stiffed on travel. Poor communication and leadership from upper management to Vice Presidents (everyone is a vice president). Don't give out your personal cell phone number. You'll get calls at 2 am on very low level issues that some guy considers a priority across the globe. Was yelled at several times by coworkers when I asked for approvals on suspect situations to cover my ass, rather than being provided the approval. You get completely disrespected by other employees here. It is the standard, not the rare occurrence. Complete lack of professionalism across the board.
