They are so eager to promote from within because HCLTech pays in the bottom 1-5%ile of market rate for any skilled tech position. They are a company that consistently demonstrates they have no confidence in being able to make money *without* financially destroying their most talented people. A complete waste of time to work here for longer than 2 years under any circumstance. Exec Leadership openly lied to employees and investors on FY 2024 Q3 call regarding '10-15%' raises that never came to any high performers across several business units.

Terrible management. Had broken promises and flat out lied about many things. Bonuses were late at least once. Many of us went over to them after our company, like a good neighbor, laid us off so that they could outsource their IT to HCL. They didn't want us, they just needed us to run the desk while they poorly trained their overseas folks. They didn't care about the quality of work, just that they answered the calls. In some cases, overseas reps would just either hang up or send them back through the queue for us stateside folks to handle.
