      Environmental friendly, extremely nice co-workers, great company history and culture

      Cons

      Payment is limited; due to the size of this international office, there's a lot of remote work and online calls which would cause some miss communication

      Pros

      Great benefits. Lots of good equipment. Field staff largely excellent. Pay was decent but nothing special. Office has plenty of parking.

      Cons

      Management is aloof. HDR is big and has gobbled up so many small firms that corporate culture just doesn't get the reality of field-based research and work. HR is gossip central so watch out. OT rules are vindictive and probably illegal. Worked 70 hours in one week but 1 hour was billed to overhead? Enjoy your 40 hours of pay. Work 70 and bill none to overhead? Get 70 hours of pay! Management (local) asked us to lie on our time sheets, I assume in order to keep the corporate hawks in Omaha away.

      Pros

      Very flexible schedule and no stressful interactions. Opportunity to travel to other offices and work out in the field are plentiful.
