      A lot of the pm's are power hungry, HDR leaves a lot of opportunity for them to climb, so it makes them that much more vindictive. A lot of them look down on people too.

      Pros

      It is an employee owned company with incredible benefits. Very family orientated in certain locations, so I would assume the whole company is probably close to the same. Over all they have a great working environment.

      Cons

      All the work is infrastructure, which is actually a positive because there is always work, but the negative of it being infrastructure is that sometimes it's not always the most interesting engineering projects.

      Pros

      Great people, company is rooted in culture and values. We do things right to make great things possible (for our clients). Flexibility has been key to keep me there.

      Cons

      Pay and salary increases are average to below average. Not many opportunities to climb the ladder for non-technical staff. Hours can be long, with no additional compensation (for overhead staff).
