      Pros

      HDR takes good care of it's employees. It is a very active environment, busy, interesting work. The people are highly motivated, successful, and supportive. Given HDR's national/ international status, relocation is available as well as temp work assignments throughout the US. HDR is very supportive of education, self improvement, and also provides extensive in-house training and certification.

      Cons

      Frankly, nothing comes to mind. I had a great experience at HDR, Inc. The only drawback is that HDR primarily works on public funded projects, or very large scale private, (hospitals, buildings, etc.), so when public work slows, so does the work.

      Pros

      Large A/E firm with specialties. Relatively high compensations than other architectural firms. "Employee-own" with 401-K stock options. Multiple offices accross the nation and growing of international offices.

      Cons

      Not known for "design" work, but is in the process of "rebranding" the firm's design image. New high level operation managment equates to company's cultural reallignment.

      Pros

      -Training opportunities are plentiful -Lots of software (if you scream and beg for it) -Large projects with a wide variety of tasks (may need to travel) -Deep bench of expertise to call on

      Cons

      -Top heavy on management -Weak middle management -Corporate and MBA rhetoric disseminated too often(i.e. Thought Leadership, synergy, etc.) -Transparency is touted, but compensation is disparate between management and the rest
