Pros

It's in a nice part of the country. The executives seem like nice people (you're likely too insignificant to really anger them ever). Most of the office area is pretty nice. Work Hard / Play Hard mentality. Salary can be competitive if you negotiate well. Bonus is great. It can be up to 10% of your salary even at lower levels. There are a lot of different products to work on. Some management is good, others are terrible. If you can get yourself a good salary, you can live in a nice area, but don't expect anything long term, because you may not ever see a raise (even after 3-4 years of good work).

Cons

With that, raises have no structure. Some areas get them, others never seem to get them. It all depends on who the boss is. Two types of bad management. The bullies and the innept. There are a few that are totally clueless. Also, the reality is that the true "managers" aren't managers by title, they're the Business Unit Leaders, Directors, or VP's. The title of Manager is pretty much useless. They have to fill out some paperwork, but they usually have no power (i.e. can't give raises, can't authorize almost anything). All they can do is OK your vacation it seems. They'll fire people if you basically don't just do whatever they want when they want it. There are only a few exceptions.

Pros

Great stock which I love watching going UP! Was the 401K Match. These folks know how to make money - and it used to be a 'fun' place to work - high pressure but offered vast opportunities, allowed creativity, and an open style - that changed when the President changed...than it became a much more Political environment. Big changes were introduced which were stirred into the culture - the new President brought in a negative environment, which was only enhanced by the subsidiary Management, due to the political nature of 'how' they 'liked' or 'didn't like' you...and everyone of them 'playing' for being 'liked'.

Cons

Used to be "Work hard/Play hard" place of emplyment, but became "Work hard/Work harder" and we're watching you. Even with 'exceeds' Reviews, I didn't receive a merit-increase in more than 5 years. Then they started looking over their glasses at me - I left as quickly as I could (but I do have the stock).

Pros

When HEICO purchased our subsidiary, many of our Team Members were concerned for their jobs and were also worried that there would be major changes made in Management. All of our concerns and fears were unfounded. Victor Mendelson, Co-President of HEICO, assured us that while we would be required to provide financial reports and comply with HEICO policies, there would be no changes made in management styles or personnel. During his first visit to our subsidiary, he was friendly, approachable, and put everyone's minds at ease. HEICO Corporation runs very efficiently. I, as a manager, am delighted to work for a company that shows continual growth, opportunity, and genuine concern for their Team Members' well-being.

Cons

None noted at this time.
