It's an okay place to work. Flaws are forgivable for the benefits.

Pros

It's a great company to work for with a lot of great people and they do a lot of interesting work. Benefits are excellent. PTO is excellent. Most of the people are excellent. It's also great to know some of your tax dollars are going back into your own pocket.

Cons

The management is terrible. And Human Resources is not to be trusted to get rid of them if you complain. Old Boys Club is highly active and prevalent in the corporate culture. Your best bet if you hate your management there is to grin and bear it until you get a rotation opportunity like I did.

People and family atmosphere: The people at HII are great. They are always supportive and helpful, but they are very professional as well.

Cons

Policy communication could be better. You don't always know what is going on or where the company plans to expand and grow.
