Great Place to work but there is a lot of overtime

Business Outlook
Pros
Good pay, good benefits. Willing to train and promote within. Management cares and had a good attitude, pushing the plant in a positive direction. Lots of time off/paid holidays. Paid extra money to employees during covid.
Cons
Being a union plant lowest seniority gets forced to work overtime if no one else volunteers. My coworkers were pretty good with making sure I had some time off, but I was lowest in seniority for most of my 2.5 years and spent a lot of extra time at work. Vacations have to be selected a year in advance. It can take years to get on first shift as QC.
