Pros

Good brand name, chances of learning and working at different locations, inter department transfers, nice database of customers, Lots of trainings

Cons

HR lacks human touch, finger pointing at executive even at fault of manager, very much number specific approach, thinks employee is money earning machine rather than human that can have genuine problems.

As a lateral good, not good for freshers as less technical exposure and not much oppurtunity for growth

Pros

Every business area has its own culture. Can network and move around to other business areas. Good benefits and vacation.

Cons

Old and inefficient processes and systems. Within the New York Private Bank, only business areas which make the most money and leaders who make the most noise and fuss get their way. Not enough emphasis on sales and bringing in business. The Miami Private Bank has better leadership, is a great place to work and employees are happier.
