Pros

big company with big company benefits. Slow to make redundent and lots of lifers

Cons

can be very large and not communicative enough. senior management not the brightest you will meet and a lot of them rose throgh the ranks due to time rather than smarts. bonuses are often small compared to other banks and so are salaries, often 2nd quartile compared to other banks

Pros

It is a large, international company which has lots of perks such as 8 weeks holiday plus 8 bank holidays. They will help you to get qualified. The staff! The customer service levels at the local branches are high.

Cons

No communication from management, the staff constantly feel that they are under constant presuure to sell to customers that so not want to be sold to. The Salarys are not competitive. The call centres are all in India and you get passed to one peson the the next.

Pros

Safe secure bank that would do well in the current environment.

Cons

Overly prudent... to the extent of turning away businesses that can be accepted and spending too much time and effort on risk management.
