Pros

- Really lovely, friendly, supportive colleagues and management. - Lots of trust and responsibility (in a good way). Younger staff are empowered to grow and learn. - Great books.

Cons

- Understaffed and too much workload, meaning you fall behind on the work you do have. This can cause stress.

Pros

Office is in nice location

Cons

Worst out of all the publishing houses I’ve worked for. Their business plan is just to spend no money. Salaries are laughable. Lots of middle managers earning a lot whilst those underneath them do all the work. No development. They claim to be transparent with salaries but the pay bands seriously need updating. I urge you to look for roles at Penguin, Harper etc. instead.
