Pros
Has good benefits, pay, and good coworkers
Cons
The company just cares about patient satisfaction scores over everything else. There is no support for nurses on the floor. We have meetings almost every day that take 20 minutes about patient survey results, and management will do whatever it takes to receive good feedback. The nurses are stressed out to the extreme and trying to take on an impossible workload, (with no compensation/reward/appreciation for getting good patient satisfaction scores either). Additionally, if the nurses are extremely overwhelmed they don't care they will just keep sending patients up from the ER to the floor back to back, without listening to the input from the nurses. I am not one to complain, but I have been extremely disappointed with Hackensack so far. And also the parking sucks, they randomly assign you parking, and one lot is 15 minutes away that you have to take a shuttle to, and when you get off your shift there's like one shuttle going back and forth so you sometimes have to wait 20+ minutes just for the shuttle to come pick you up to take you back.
