Pros
Since I started with DEI in 2007 they have grown and now manage 9000+ units. I was promoted from an asst. manager in Michigan to Property manager when they acquired 2 properties in VA. The company values their employees and they look to promote from within as they continue to grow. They are ahead of many companies when it comes to the programs/software that are used. They work hard to train employees so that when opportunities for advancement become available you are ready. Most of the corporate office team have been with the company 10 plus years so you get to know them and are comfortable when asking questions etc. DEI paid all costs associated with earning my CPM which again shows how they invest in their employees and want their employees to be the best in the industry. If you are looking for a company that will help you grow professionally and treat you with respect along the way, you should join the DEI family.
Cons
Because of the great work atmosphere, employees tend to stay with the company for years which can make promotions tough unless they acquire new properties. Now, this is a con only if you are looking for quick advancement... But this "con" is definitely a "pro" if you want to join a company that no one really wants to leave!
