Pros
An interesting job, great coworkers, promotion from within the company (but see "Cons" below), approachable management, fine benefits (but see below), and a friendly company culture. I'll be sad to leave this family.
Cons
Due to the constricting prospects of book sales and retail in general, the company has had to (understandably) rein in its benefits and maximum yearly pay raises. These savings are being reinvested in technology and other assets to help pave the way in the future, but it *does* feel a little like the walls are closing in. Additionally -- because the job and company are largely fantastic -- company superiors rarely leave, greatly hindering upward career growth.
