When I first started the insurance was free and we worked 40 hours a week. After a few years we worked 35 hours a week and we had to pay for insurance. When I started we received a quarterly profit sharing bonus. By the time I left we hadn't received a bonus for at least a year. The most you can ever get for a raise is 5%. The only way that you will get 5% is if the manager loves you. Most people should expect 2-3%. The favoritism was absurd. If the store manager doesn't like you you will never go anywhere, no matter how qualified you may be. There are no set schedules unless the manager likes you. Getting off for holidays is practically impossible if the manager doesn't like you. The sexual harassment by the assistant manger was ridiculous. It literally took years before something was finally done about it. The relaxed rules regarding relationships in the store lead to very ugly, uncomfortable events. What kind of company allows management to sleep with employees? Come on.
