The pay is very low for the amount of running done throughout the day. Contract merchandisers make more than store associates who do the same jobs. Customers are usually older and sometimes unfamiliar with electronic coupons and rewards, so they usually just want you to do things for them. Hours vary greatly based on time of year. The huge price increase this year has turned a lot of customers off from buying higher priced items. Black-out (required dates to work) seem to be non-negotiable.

Raises are given annually verses on merit and teamwork. I would rather have my raises based on my work dedication than across the board raise.
