Pros

Good pay and decent benefits Good coworkers

Cons

No work from home flexibility even during covid Directors/managers will yell at employees for things like slightly moving a desk Everyone is terrified of the CEO, Steve Hamilton, as he is know to fire people he does not like Disconnect between and within departments Poor air quality, old buildings have structural issues which may be in violation of OSHA standards and EHS department chooses to ignore these issues Overall very stressful work environment, software and information management systems extremely outdated, employees are pushed to do multiple positions due to understaffing, company cannot hire any real talent due to nonflexible work schedule and poor work life balance.

Pros

job openings are very plentiful

Cons

Extremely coercive and harsh company. This is a top-down problem with no concerns about change. If you are a professional with any talent believe me it will not be appreciated here. And like the endless stream of others, your tenure will probably be short.

Steady, Good Pay Complimented by Poor and Abusive Management

Pros

The pay is great, and some of the employees are great to work with. The interim CEO knows most of our names and does come up to visit and talk with us once in a while. He appears to take a general interest in the employees, which I believe is rare in this day and age.

Cons

I've been working at Hamilton for over a year. The pay is great, and I happily accepted. I quickly learned why the pay was so good. You are constantly being abused and frequently asked to work job assignment out of your hired duties. Upper management is miserable to interact with, and blatant favoritism is rampant. The CEO is against working from home, but some groups are able to circumvent this and told it is "at management's discretion". While upper management is able to take advantage of frequent, unnecessary business travel and work from home capabilities, other employees are told that they must use their sick time and cannot enjoy work from home opportunities. All, if not most work can be done from home, but IT makes that opportunity absolutely miserable, adding VPN connection that disconnects you from the network so that you cannot accomplish your work at home. There's also a lot of shady tactics going on, with some information passed down to some people but not all. Deadlines are constantly adjusted due to management's poor work ethic and inability to delegate and balance tasks. There have been multiple occasions where I have been waiting weeks, if not months for management to give their seal of approval, only for it to be passed down to me a day or two before the deadline, with execution still desired.
