      Good company but middle management needs work

      Fantastic people and great growth

      Cons

      Growth is going too fast that everyone is running 100 mph. In middle management, it depends on the team you are on and the manager of that team. Middle management does not know how to lead; they only want to impress the founders rather than actually be a leader.

      Pros

      Handshake is growing FAST. We move quickly and make impactful change every day. The goals are high which means we have to work really hard to reach or exceed them. But, in my opinion, that's what makes it fun. If you are not afraid of hard work and want to make a meaningful impact, Handshake is a great place to work. The leadership team in the sales dept. expect a lot and hold individual contributors accountable to our goals. Some people don't like this and complain about it but I can't imagine how they expect to improve without being challenged. Tons of perks. Airpods, events, spiffs, wine nights etc.

      Cons

      You may work long hours and feel the pressure. not necessarily a bad thing. We pivot quickly which bothers some. Doesn't bother me.

      Pros

      People at Handshake really care about the mission and about each other! While there is fast growth of the product and pressure to build more, there is still a good work-life balance.

      Cons

      The company is growing fast and is still young, so sometimes it feels that things haven't caught up fast enough on some fronts, but that generally is true with fast growth companies in general.
