Pros
Hanson is a great company. I get along really well with my coworkers and I enjoy the work that I do. The group I work with doesn't expect you to work overtime, but you can when necessary. I have been supported through their education assistance program which has been helpful in my advancement as a professional. I have had more opportunities here than I thought were possible in terms of career path and travel. Hanson is an employee-owned company which I appreciate. Hanson is very transparent with the company financials to all employees, every quarter. We have different markets with different types of engineers that makes our company stable through tough times. I highly recommend this company.
Cons
I haven't experienced this personally, but I have heard that other markets have had tough managers. The quantity of projects coming in, in many markets at Hanson, have been overwhelming for many. A lot of this has been resolved by project managers turning away or extending deadlines for projects because there isn't enough employees to meet the quantity of deadlines quick enough. This is an issue at many companies I hear though.
