Pros

The company provides a variety of products at incredible low prices - customer absolutely love shopping at HFT - smiling / happy to be in our stores. The leadership team is focused on keeping the stores staffed with friendly associates, stocked and priced right for the customers. HFT is experiencing tremendous growth due to the successful business model which translates in career growth opportunities. This is a great place to be for those with high standards and results driven.

Cons

The on-boarding process and training is in the early stages of development - lot's of learning on the job.

Pros

Commissions on selling warranties and....that's it.

Cons

Budget cuts on hours, close to minimum wage pay, numerous duties with little to no back up, pressure on following exact models and speeches to push for mailers, no appreciation for employees, takes advantage of good workers, less employees and more expectations on customer service, employee discount is almost the same as a customer's discount (if you are buying one thing-same benefit), majority of customers are mostly rude, lack courteous manners, and a brain.

Pros

The best thing about working for Harbor Freight tools was the rapid advancement up the ladder from part-time stocker to corporate retail merchandiser in less than 2-years.

Cons

The worst thing about working for Harbor Freight was the promotion to corporate. I got to see behind the mythical curtain to see what made our company tick from the inside. Little did I know that our company is headed by a bunch of mentally deficient chimps in suits and that ticking was not the ticking of a well- oiled money making machine, but the ticking of a time bomb that is set to explode when the company's half a billion dollar loan is called in to question.
