HarbourVest once had a strong, collaborative culture. That changed ever since a new MD was hired to lead Client Operations. Today, a large portion of the Portfolio Analytics team was abruptly let go and replaced by contractors in India who lack the knowledge, experience, and accountability required for our workflows. The result is frequent data errors, inefficiencies, and a total disregard for quality. What’s worse is how leadership handled it. For months, we were reassured that our roles would evolve — that our work would become more value-added and strategic. We were told, “You’re not being displaced.” These wer e all lies. The CEO often says, “Our people are our secret sauce.” That statement couldn’t be any more false. If you value transparency, stability, and respect for employees, I strongly recommend you to look elsewhere.
