Pros

No boring days, constant innovation, new challenges, strong growth and earning potential. The TGIF benefit is nice, as is the snack allowance. Remote first for a lot of positions is also good. Talks the DEI talk, better than industry average at walking it (still needs a lot of improvement)

Cons

Work life balance lacks in a lot of positions, especially in sales and engineering. Aggressive targets means constantly trying to keep pace and beat the last thing you did. No 401k match Learning and development is on you, don't expect a lot of support

Pros

1. Great engineering team 2. Tech is a market disruptor 3. The comp variable is good

Cons

1. CRO and senior sales leadership - confuse activity with accomplishment 2. The product has matured into a complete platform; leadership is under the impression that we're still a CD company 3. Commerical Leadership is inept 4. The sales process and operations aren't standardized and repeatable 5. Compeeating against free products and "build v buy" 6. Weekly meetings to go over PG 7. Low POV win rates 8. CRO is unaware of commercial challenges 9 . Expansion driven business, we're getting priced out for new logos 10. The Territories and teams are skewed; therefore, performance is measured incorrectly 11. Terrible Sales culture, unprofessional, and doesn't recognize the human 12. Onboarding isn't tailored to the role

Thank you for acknowledging the opportunity to sell great products with one of the industry’s most lucrative sales compensation plans and that we are disrupting the software delivery market. We are sorry you had that experience at Harness as we deeply value culture and strive to be a team that takes on bold goals, knows our customers, and remembers the human as we work hard and celebrate together. We encourage everyone to participate in our TGIF program providing team members 1 Friday off per month in addition to PTO. You mentioned activity and accomplishment in your review. We do see a strong correlation between those that work hard on leading indicator activities and the top performers in the business. When people work hard and progress we celebrate their success and accomplishments through income opportunities, recognition, and career opportunities. In fact; 25% of the commercial team has been promoted into new roles within the past 15 months. With regard to free products; Harness is excited about the recent launch of our open source and free products as we are on a mission to remove the toil around software delivery for 30 million developers and make Harness available to individuals, teams, and enterprises. This approach will benefit our sales teams as we combine a product-led growth strategy with a go-to-market execution model. We will continue to evolve a hybrid work-from-home model with regional office hubs in strategic locations, and a culture of accountability as we seek to continuously improve individually and collectively.
