Pros

HarperCollins Christian Publishing in Nashville manages people like human beings. However, the headquarters based in NYC, including the HR department, is there only to protect the highest ranking employees and to place blame on those who cannot protect themselves. There is lots of yelling, eye-rolling, lecturing, and adults being treated like children from the NY staff. This is an experience based on several team members in the Cristian field. **Note, these are CONS - accidentally mixed up with the PRO field below.

Cons

This is the worst publishing company for which I have ever worked. They claim flexibility, promise training, work/life balance, and they promise these thing through motivation, team building, none of which are true. I also found it offensive that one of the NY lawyers found it necessary to swear on occasion, especially when she didn't know me, nor how I would react to such language in the workplace. **Note, these that PROS - accidentally mixed up with the CON field above.
