Not good

Pros

Free books, and that's about it.

Cons

All of the problems at HarperCollins stem from one common misconception: that low-level employees are machines that exist only to answer phones and make appointments. Upper management is uniformly terrible. Internal promotion is nil. Communication between departments is horrendous, and not helped by the general culture of cattiness permitting the office. Seriously, my boss was cartoonishly bad. Don't work here.

Pros

Top publishing company with a good location in midtown. Naturally, great access to free books.

Cons

Very political, in my opinion; more so that another corporations I have worked for.
