Pros

Lots of internal training, guest speakers and seminars. You feel encouraged to lend a voice across different departments. Smart people. And fabulous titles, brands and authors to work with.

Cons

Salaries are low. Communication between departments can be a little slow. I think HC is working hard to bring about greater diversity across staff and publishing, and hopefully more people with disabilities can pierce this industry too.
