Pros

There are a lot of opportunities within Harris Health. The ERP (PeopleSoft) Team in IT is a wonderful group of people who work very well together and are very customer focused. Several great projects have been completed by the team that eliminated outdated manual processes while moving to the latest software. The team is led by good leaders who are respected and look out for the best of the team. Many on the team have been promoted or moved to positions they worked for, and earned. Turnover is low, mostly due to retirees or promotions. If you want to work on a project or have a suggestion, you just have to speak up. You also have to be able to take constructive feedback and grow with it.

Cons

There is no work from home option, which is rare for IT. Allow work from home or other schedules such as 4/10s or 9/80s. The company offers no bonuses and they went a few years with no raises. Company wide, there are a lot of people who do not want to own their processes and their leadership does not make them accountable. Some do not know basic computer skills. Their choice to not do or learn their work somehow translates into a computer problem which most times it is not. This is a drain on good people.

Pros

Good benefits and great pay, with decent hours and flexibility.

Cons

The cons outweighs the pros. I worked in one of the community clinics. Where the mentality is that they are doing the patients a favor. I have never seen patients treated so badly, and spoken to like they are bothering the staff by simply showing up to their appointments. The staff was lazy from the charge nurse( who worked on her homework and was inconvenienced when filling in for staff) to the PAM staff who complained about patients non-stop. It is a revolving door of people who see this culture and want to leave as fast as possible before being sucked in to this mentality.

Pros

Everyone is so friendly. It's easy to work comfortably. Everyone is like family and treats you as so. It jes feels like a second home away from home.

Cons

I would say little to none. Actually I would say the typical job cogs such as lazy Co workers and difficult guests or patients , but that comes with any job.
