Pros

Pay is better than industry standards for most positions A twice yearly bonus check is certainly nice to have

Cons

Corporate Management cares only about the bottom line at the expense of the employees. Atmosphere is typically toxic as you have to fight constantly for hours and recognition Expectations are typically excessive and incredibly unattainable Store Management is of little assistance when dealing with employee dissatisfaction Overall, this company has fostered an atmosphere of mistrust and disloyalty by constantly putting the needs of the employees to the bottom of the priority list. Hours are cut without any explanation, making it impossible to budget appropriately for everyday life. Policy and procedure is changed without any regard to employee safety. Considering how employees make or break the success of a company, it would seem that fact has been lost on the management of this company.

Pros

Managers were nice, developed friendships with a few employees Store provided food for employees working on Christmas Eve

Cons

Lines get really long so you are basically checking items out non stop for your entire shift. You get a 15 minute break if you work longer than 4 hours and a 30 minute break if you work longer then either 7 or 8 hours. Customers get very angry about their groceries. There is a bagger assigned for the day but spends little to no time bagging, mostly cleans and attends to the parking lot. The cashier is responsible for bagging and it slows down the process of checking the customer out. Schedules were weird and it was hard to have a personal life around your weird work schedule.
